My artistic career began in Pioneer Square. It's been the focus of most of my work and still continues to be a large motivation behind my work. I've stage public art performances, photoshoots, and created videos in PSQ. The first gallery that I approached two years ago was ArtXchange. It was very early in my career and I had yet to create a large body of work. At the time I was told the gallery was filled until 2019, but to check back often. Fueled by that experience I continued to work steadfast and routinely emailed the gallery. I recently saw a call for artist for a show around heritage and knew it was a good time to apply with some of the works I recently created. I'm beyond stoked that I was accepted into the show. Opening night was such an awesome experience and to see my work hung in the front window that I walked by hundreds of times gives me the energy and determination to continue making more work.
